Over 20 Soldiers Killed and 130 Injured in Houthi Missile Attack on Shabwa Military Camp
More than 20 soldiers were killed and approximately 130 others sustained injuries following a ballistic missile strike carried out by Houthi forces against the Al-Alam military training camp in the Jardan district of Shabwa, southeastern Yemen.
According to a military source, the attack involved three ballistic missiles that struck the government-affiliated installation, resulting in a total casualty count of roughly 150 personnel. The wounded individuals have been transported to various medical facilities across the province to receive urgent treatment.
In response to the high number of casualties, hospitals in Ataq, the capital of Shabwa, have issued urgent appeals for blood donations to address the critical medical needs of the survivors. The influx of injured personnel has placed significant strain on the local healthcare infrastructure.
The strike has caused substantial losses among government forces, triggering a state of emergency within the provincial medical sector. While rescue and relief efforts continue, authorities have yet to release comprehensive details regarding the extent of the physical destruction inflicted upon the military facility.
